How does your recipe fit within the Australian guide to healthy eating?
This dish contains many vegetables such as pumpkins, onions, leeks and potatoes. The dish also accommodates dairy, which is the cream and many spices. The pumpkin soup is very healthy since it carries lots of unique vegetables, few sources of dairy and little salt and pepper to season the dish.
How did you delegate the tasks during the cook with your partner?
I collected most of the ingredients, and started to cut the onion and the leeks. My partner received the garlic and nutmeg for me to stir with the additional vegetables. My partner peeled the pumpkin and the potato whilst I stirred the dish with vegetable stock. Finally, I added the the necessary ingredients and blended the soup to create the final product.
What aspects of this cook did you find difficult and how did you overcome these?
I found that trying to speed up our production and work rate might have been challenging, because we only completed the dish around 3 minutes before timeout. I overcame this problem by using my cooking time more efficiently and maintaining a good flow of speed while cooking.
